JAMES L. VERMEERSCH. JR. (PRESIDENT & CEO, CO-FOUNDER)
Mr. Vermeersch has over 20 years of experience in management, sales and marketing within the medical device industry. In addition to founding inx Medical, he has previous experience with Fortune 500 medical device companies, as well as extensive experience in start-up life science and medical device companies. He has been instrumental in the successful launch of various new medical devices and technologies throughout his career. Mr. Vermeersch is a graduate of the Bio-Entrepreneur Development Program, Center for Emerging Technologies, St. Louis, MO.
KURT W. GAMPP, JR. (VICE PRESIDENT, COO)
Mr. Gampp brings over 35 years of management and entrepreneurial experience in the medical device industry, focusing on research and development, manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory oversight. He co-founded Advance Surgical Products, a producer of disposable fiber-optic retinal instruments. This company was subsequently sold to Infinitec. Inc. In 1991, Mr. Gampp again co-founded a second company – Synergetics, Inc. – which produced micro-surgical instrumentation for the ophthalmic and neuro surgical disciplines. Synergetics USA was ultimately acquired in 2012 by Valiant Pharmaceuticals, as a bolt-on company to Bausch & Lomb.
LAWRENCE C. CARDINALE (MANAGING DIRECTOR, CO-FOUNDER)
Mr. Cardinale has over 40 years of experience in medical device manufacturing, product development, and operations. Notably, he previously founded and managed Technical Products International, a privately held biomedical device company in the life sciences diagnostic segment, which was sold to the Danaher Corporation in 2005.
FRED H. WILLIAMS, MD (CLINICAL DIRECTOR)
Dr. Williams is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Dr. Williams is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Williams is currently in private practice in St. Louis, Missouri, and he sees a broad array of gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
TIMOTHY M. GEIGER, MD (ADVISOR)
Dr. Geiger is currently an Associate Professor of Surgery, the Director of the Colon and Rectal Surgery Program and the Chief of the Division of General Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and is a fellow in both the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Dr. Geiger received his medical degree at the University of Missouri. He then completed training in colon and rectal surgery at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. Dr. Geiger also has a master’s degree in Management of Health Care from Vanderbilt University.
